Getting there: The flying time from the UK to Cancun is about 11 hours 30 minutes,it’s then about 45 minutes by road to Riviera Maya.

Best time to travel: Riviera Maya enjoys tropical temperatures throughout the year. In summer months expect highs of up to 35ºC, while in the winter it rarely dips below 20ºC. The rainy season is from May to October; however, it only tends to rain for a few hours after which the humidity drops and the sun returns. Hurricane season is September to October, but they are very rare.
