Days 1-2: Fly to Auckland.
Day 3 Auckland: On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 4 Auckland: A full day to sightsee at your leisure. If you have a head for heights take in the jaw-dropping views from the Harbour Bridge or the Sky Tower.
Day 5 Auckland/Cruise: At leisure before an afternoon transfer to the port to board Radiance of the Seas.
Day 6 Bay of Islands: This stunning group of islands in New Zealand’s North Island provide an opportunity to enjoy adventures such as kayaking, mountain biking, parasailing and scuba diving. Perhaps take an excursion to the Hole in the Rock at Piercy Island whilst keeping your eyes peeled for dolphins.
Day 7 Tauranga: Walk in the steps of hobbits in the setting for the Lord of the Rings films, or perhaps take an educational tour of a kiwi farm. Other excursions here include the thrill of white water rafting on the Kaituna Riva or Hell’s Gate geothermal park to see its erupting waters and steaming holes. In nearby Rotorua you can discover Maori culture and crafts.
Day 8 Napier: Take a stroll around lovely Napier to see the amazing art deco architecture, which was built after an earthquake in the 1930s. Head further afield to see the gannet colonies at Cape Kidnappers or take a tasting tour of the vineyards of Hawke’s Bay.
Day 9 Wellington: Take a ride on the historic cable car, head to Mount Victoria Lookout for far reaching views of the city and beyond or visit the Wellington Botanic Gardens. The city also has a thriving arts scene, designer boutiques and a wonderful array of bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
Day 10 Akaroa: Discover Akaroa’s fascinating heritage in the Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum or, see seals, little penguins, sea birds and dolphins on a sea kayaking or boat trip around Akaroa’s beautiful bays Other options include a thrilling jet boat ride or meet the sheep dogs at a lovely countryside sheep station.
Day 11 Dunedin: Explore the city’s Scottish-inspired Victorian and Edwardian architecture, see the magnificent Dunedin Railway Station or the gothic-style First Church of Otago. Take high tea in imposing Larnach Castle or take a tour around beautiful Otago Harbour.
Day 12 Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound & Milford Sound: Be blown away by the remote wilderness and stunning beauty of Doubtful Sound, the second largest fiord in New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park. See towering peaks reflected in the mirrored waters and spot hidden inlets as they emerge into view. Dusky Sound is equally impressive with its cliffs and thundering waterfalls, while Milford Sound is quite simply awe-inspiring. Hike along the famous Milford Track or perhaps explore by kayak, boat or even helicopter.
Days 13-14 At sea: Sit back and put your feet up for two days. Or, if you’re feeling energetic, take in some of the many activities.
Day 15 Cruise/Sydney, Australia: After disembarking this morning you will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.
Days 16-17 Sydney, Australia: Two full days to explore independently. Don’t miss the iconic Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach or enjoy some retail therapy at the Westfield and Pitt Street Malls.
Day 18 Sydney, Australia: You will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
