Jasper National Park
With shimmering glaciers, abundant wildlife, crystalline lakes, thundering waterfalls, deep canyons and evergreen forest all flanked by towering peaks, it’s little wonder Jasper National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At 4,335 square miles it’s also Canada’s largest park in the Rockies and the world’s second largest Dark Sky Preserve.
The laid-back town of Jasper is your springboard to the park’s outdoor pursuits and attractions, welcoming visitors with a selection of shops and a vibrant culinary scene with everything from cosy cafés to elegant dining.
Adventurers can fill their boots with alpine day hikes, adrenalin pumping mountain biking, great paddling, climbing and canyoning.
Lake Louise
Lake Louise’s sparkling emerald-green water, soaring mountain backdrop, glistening glacier and palatial hotel are totally picture-perfect, whatever the season.
The best way to immerse yourself in the spectacular landscape is to step out on a hike and Lake Louise has year-round trails for all ability levels, from an easy short stroll to a rigorous mountaintop trek. Alternatively, hire a bike and pedal along the lake, or climb as many hills as your legs can manage and cruise amongst towering peaks.
Banff
The picturesque town of Banff, nestles high in the Canadian Rockies within Banff National Park. Flanked on all sides by towering mountains, this bustling town’s vibrant streets are lined with top-class restaurants, bars, shops and a number of art galleries and museums.
