Passage through the Rockies

Day 1 – Arrive Calgary

Welcome to Calgary, where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Reception and get to know your fellow guests and Travelmarvel Tour Director.

Day 2 – Calgary – Banff

This morning, depart for beautiful Banff National Park. Visit Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary along the way for a once in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with these majestic creatures. On arrival in Banff, enjoy a sightseeing tour to get to know the town’s stunning surroundings.

Day 3 – Banff

The day is yours to spend at leisure. Perhaps choose one of the optional experiences (at extra expense) and explore the wonderful sights of this beautiful resort town, including Heli-Flightseeing, a Bow River Float Trip, a small group tour to discover Banff’s hidden gems, a ride on the Banff Gondola or a canoe tour on Bow River.

Day 4 – Banff - Lake Louise

Today, journey to take in the stunning azure waters of glacier fed Moraine Lake (season permitting). Later, continue to the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’, the iconic Lake Louise. Spend the afternoon exploring this remarkable destination before settling into your hotel.

Day 5 – Lake Louise - Icefields Parkway - Athabasca Glacier – Jasper

Embark on a journey along the iconic Icefields Parkway this morning — arguably one of the most breathtaking drives on Earth. This 232km highway winds through the majestic Canadian Rockies, offering awe-inspiring views at every turn. Stop at the Columbia Icefield for an exhilarating Ice Explorer ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. Continue along the Continental Divide to the picturesque alpine town of Jasper, nestled within the tranquil Jasper National Park.

Day 6 – Jasper – Blue River Visit spectacular Mount Robson en route to Blue River, where you will enjoy a remarkable River Safari along glacier fed river and lakes. Later, continue to the picturesque Mike Wiegele Heli Village. Perhaps replace days six and seven touring with the iconic Rocky Mountaineer ‘Journey through the Clouds’ rail journey via Kamloops to Vancouver (prices on request).

Day 7 – Blue River - Vancouver Journey through the rugged landscapes of the Cariboo region, on your way to Vancouver. Upon arrival in Vancouver, enjoy time at leisure to explore this beautiful cosmopolitan city. If you travel on the Rocky Mountaineer you will re-join the train in Kamloops after a hotel stay.

Day 8 – Vancouver

Discover more of this diverse city on one of today’s optional experiences including Grouse Mountain, a Hop-on Hop-off Sightseeing bus tour, a visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge or the Flyover Canada Experience, a breath-taking virtual flight simulator experience (at extra expense).

Day 9 – Vancouver – Whistler

Take a scenic drive to Whistler along the legendary Sea to Sky Highway, with incredible sights at every turn. After arriving in Whistler, there are some exciting optional experiences on offer (at extra expense). Choose from the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, a tour of Whistler’s ancient forest on a TreeTrek tour, a Ziptrek Bear ecotour, mountain tours and Heli-Flightseeing plus Vallea Lumina - an immersive night time forest walk featuring lights, soundscapes, and interactive storytelling.

Day 10 – Whistler - Victoria

Board a ferry for a breathtaking journey across the Georgia Strait to Victoria, passing through the picturesque Gulf Islands. Along the way, admire the stunning coastal landscapes, where forested isles rise from the sparkling waters. As you approach Vancouver Island, soak in the charming seaside views before arriving in British Columbia’s historic capital, Victoria.

Day 11 – Victoria

Enjoy a day at leisure in the vibrant city of Victoria, British Columbia’s elegant capital. Why not take a Horse-Draw Carriage or Whale Watching Tour (at extra expense). This evening a Farewell Dinner with fellow guests awaits. Dine in the original Butchart family residence after exploring The Butchart Gardens’ vivid floral displays.

Day 12 – Depart Victoria

After breakfast, transfer to Victoria Airport for your onward flight
