Day 1 – Fly to Perth
Day 2 -4 Perth City Stay
On arrival, make your own way to your hotel for a three-night stay. Spend the next few days exploring this vibrant coastal city, from its beautiful beaches to lively dining scene. Discover highlights such as Kings Park, Fremantle and nearby Rottnest Island before your adventure begins.
Day 5 – Fly to Broome
Fly from Perth to Broome and discover its breathtaking beauty at your leisure before meeting your fellow travellers at a relaxed welcome dinner.
Day 6 – Fitzroy Crossin
Leave Broome this morning and head to the Boab Prison Tree, believed to be 1,500 years old. Continue to Windjana Gorge, where ancient marine fossils lay embedded in the gorge walls. Next, it’s on to Tunnel Creek, which flows through Western Australia’s oldest cave system. End your day in serene comfort at Fitzroy River Lodge, where you can unwind by the river, savour local flavours and take in the stunning outback sunset.
Day 7 – Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge
Travel from Fitzroy Crossing to Halls Creek, which sits on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert. Continue to Purnululu National Park and check-in to the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner featuring regionally inspired cuisine as you watch the sunset. Gather around the campfire for a nightcap under a glittering star-filled sky surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 8 – Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge
Spend a full day exploring Purnululu National Park, beginning with a walk along Piccaninny Creek in the spectacular Bungle Bungle Range. Continue to Cathedral Gorge, a natural red rock amphitheatre known for its remarkable acoustics. End your day of discovery by watching the sunset over the Bungle Bungle Range.
Day 9 – Kununurra
Set out on a hike to Echidna Chasm, a natural cleft in the rock that reaches a staggering 200 metres in height while only being one metre wide at certain points. Later, travel along the Spring Creek Track to Kununurra.
Day 10 – Kununurra
Travel to Lake Argyle and join a wildlife cruise on the mighty Ord River. From a modern shaded vessel, discover the area’s ecological system that has developed from the damming of the Ord River at two locations. Keep an eye out for wildlife and soak up the views as your boat makes its way through winding creeks and picturesque lagoons.
Day 11 – El Questro
Head to El Questro Wilderness Park and venture through a pre historic forest of Livistona and pandanus palms before arriving at a true oasis, Zebedee Springs. Soak in the natural thermal hot springs, tucked away in a secluded pocket of El Questro’s wilderness leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalised.
Day 12 – El Questro
This morning, hike to Emma Gorge and enjoy a swim beneath its 65-metre waterfall, surrounded by towering cliffs. After lunch, join the Traditional Owners of El Questro Station, the Ngarinyin people, for a meaningful introduction to their culture and deep spiritual connection to Country. Experience ancient healing practices, hear ancient stories passed down through generations, and explore the enduring history and traditions of El Questro.
Day 13 – Mitchell Plateau
Back on the Gibb River Road, ford the mighty Durack River, then travel north on the Kalumburu Road towards the isolated Mitchell Plateau. Along the way, stop at Drysdale River Station for lunch. Afterwards, enter a remote world of Livistona palm forests, panoramic lookouts, magnificent waterfalls and isolated swimming holes. Savour the enchanting Kimberley ambience as you dine under the vast night sky tonight.
Day 14 – Mitchell Plateau
Spend the day exploring Mitchell Falls, renowned for its tiered waterfalls, rock pools and ancient Indigenous rock art. When available, local Indigenous guides will join the adventure. Hike to Little Mertens Falls and Big Mertens Falls before reaching the incredible Mitchell Falls. Swim in the pools above the falls, then take an included helicopter flight over the dramatic gorges, emerald pools and red cliffs of this remote Kimberley wilderness.
Day 15 – Drysdale River Station
Admire ancient Wandjina and Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art at a gallery in Mitchell Plateau that stakes a claim as some of the earliest figurative art, distinguished by its depiction of stick-like human figures. Enjoy a swim in the clear waters at King Edward River then cross Drysdale River and arrive at Drysdale River Station.
Day 16 – Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge
At Manning Creek, you’ll enjoy lunch by the sandy banks. Look out for the region’s bird life and enjoy a refreshing swim in the pristine water under paperbarks. Continue to Galvans Gorge, where a short walk leads to a picturesque waterhole, the ideal spot for a rejuvenating dip. Enjoy two nights at the luxury Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge.
Day 17 – Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge
Back on the Gibb River Road, travel to Bell Gorge, where spectacular cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. Should you be feeling particularly energetic, you may take the opportunity to hike to the lower pool of the gorge and enjoy a relaxing dip below the cascading waterfall.
Day 18 – Broome
Back on the Gibb River Road, travel through the Wunaamin Conservation Park to Derby, where you will visit an Art Centre displaying authentic Indigenous Australian artwork. Continue to Broome for your final night, including a farewell dinner at your resort.
Day 19 – Depart Broome
Your journey comes to an end today with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
