Sanur

Sanur

Located on the eastern side of the island's isthmus, this former fishing village is Bali's most established resort yet has retained much of its character and is quiet with a wonderfully relaxed coastal ambience.

The golden sandy beach gently slopes into crystal waters and is fringed by a band of shady palms and hotels. The waters are protected by a long string of offshore reefs, creating large, shallow lagoons that are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and a whole array of watersports including kitesurfing and stand up paddleboarding.

Ubud

Ubud

Set amidst a picture-perfect green landscape beside the Ayung River, this seductive town is Bali’s cultural centre and spiritual hub. Despite being a tourist hotspot, Ubud manages to maintain its charm, so it’s well worth taking some time to explore.

The flourishing arts and crafts scene dates back to the 1930s and today entices with a huge selection of galleries, museums, workshops and craft markets.

Munduk

Munduk

This traditional and scenic village is set among lush hillsides covered with jungle, fruit and coffee trees, paddy fields and waterfalls galore. The area was established as a hill station by the Dutch and today a few Dutch buildings remain as well as plantations of cocoa, coffee and vanilla.

On the doorstep are numerous trails for hiking and trekking, while the village is also close to three central lakes of Bratan, Buyan and Tamblingan.
