Thailand visa requirements
British passport holders do not require a visa for stays of less than 30 days. However, if you are using the 30 day visa exemption you can only enter Thailand through a land border twice per calendar year; otherwise you will need to obtain a visa in advance. Tourists need to apply for a visa if they intend to stay for more than 30 days without leaving the country. Penalties are in place for those who stay for longer for than 30 days without the necessary visa documentation.
Thailand entry requirements
If you test positive for COVID-19, you may need to stay where you are until you test negative. You may also need to seek treatment there.
If you are visiting Thailand and then travelling to a country that requires an RT-PCR test for entry, you will need to buy medical insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment before you arrive in Thailand.
You should also be aware of any rules and restrictions set out by the UK government. Further details can be found on both the Government and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office websites
Entry requirements may change at short notice and may also differ if arriving from a country outside of the UK so we advise checking with your airline, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office website and specific country government website you are travelling to for the most up to date information.
