Wild Men of Borneo Excursion from £235 pp (optional)
On this full day tour you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your early flight to Sandakan and on arrival you will transfer to the Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Here, you get to observe these endearing creatures being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat. Take a guided walk through the forest to the feeding platform where the animals are fed twice a day. You'll also visit the outdoor nursery to learn about the management of the juvenile orang-utans.
Continue to the neighbouring Sun Bear Conservation Centre, where rescued animals enjoy life in the enclosed forest. After lunch sit back and enjoy a drive through Sandakan city before the return flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
