3 nts All Suites, Perth

in a studio - Room only

Perth effortlessly blends urban cool with raw natural beauty and makes the perfect base for your Western Australian experience. It's a sophisticated, cosmopolitan city, which combines big city attractions and relaxed informal surrounds, is home to a myriad of bars, restaurants and shopping experiences and, should you need further enticement, it's the sunniest state capital in Australia!

Start your explorations with a Perth's pride and joy, Kings Park and Botanic Garden. Overlooking the city and the Swan River, the park has extensive city and river views along with huge expanses of unique bushland, tranquil parkland and native botanic garden. A highlight of the park is to walk among the treetops on the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, a 2,034 feet path that includes a spectacular elevated 170 feet glass and steel arched bridge suspended among a canopy of tall eucalypts.

In vibrant Barrack Square, is the towering glass spire of the Bell Tower, one of the largest musical instruments on earth. Enjoy fascinating displays of these famous bells as well as stunning 360º views of Perth City skyline and the Swan River from the open-air observation deck. Other attractions in the city include the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Aquarium of Western Australia and Perth Zoo.

The natural beauty of the Swan River creates a startling contrast against the skyline of skyscrapers. Dual-use paths make it possible to walk, cycle or Segway a circuit around the river, or alternatively sightseeing cruises along the river depart regularly. The newly-opened Elizabeth Quay reconnects the Swan River to the city and is a great spot to keep all the family entertained.

From historic markets and modern shopping arcades to unique designer goods and major department stores, Perth has a rich mix of retail outlets. The Murray and Hay Street Malls are particularly popular; the city's upmarket West End is where international fashion houses and labels reside; distinctive characterful arcades include Carillon City, Piccadilly Plaza and Trinity Arcade; while in the suburbs Northbridge, Subiaco, Claremont and Cottesloe are all great for shopping.

Perth's CBD features a good line up of bars, theatres and restaurants, particularly at its West End where you'll find funky cafes, swanky bars, beer houses and intimate restaurants. The Crown Perth precinct also offers more than 30 bars and restaurants, a world-class casino and theatre, while a little further afield, in South Perth, you'll find classy restaurants with spectacular views overlooking the city skyline and river. Northbridge, Perth's premier entertainment neighbourhood, is just a short walk from the city centre and renowned for its nightlife, dozens of bars, restaurants and clubs.

Located only 20 minutes west of the city centre, the coast is blessed with a string of 19 sensational white sand beaches, offering everything from sunbathing and swimming to surfing and snorkelling. Cottesloe Beach is one of Perth's most famous beaches and an ideal spot for drinks and dinner beside an Indian Ocean sunset.

South of the city centre, Fremantle is a great place to stay or spend a day with historical attractions, colonial architecture, bustling markets, quirky shops, art galleries and all sorts of cafes and restaurants. From Fremantle, it's a 30 minute ferry ride to Rottnest Island, a picture-postcard of magnificent beaches and historical sites. Also within easy reach of Perth are the vineyards of the Swan Valley, where you're invited to sample the wine and feast on award-winning local produce.
