Getting there: The flying time from the UK to Houston is about 10 hours 30 minutes. Galveston is just under an hour’s drive south of Houston and Corpus Christi is about 3 hours drive from Houston.

Best time to travel: The summer weather is subtropical with high temperatures making it a popular time to visit. Winters tend to be mild so a great time to golf and surf while spring and autumn are also excellent with agreeable temperatures.
