Montréal city is big and buzzing. Just 45 minutes from the city are the lovely Laurentian Mountains with beautiful lakes and picturesque villages.

Notre Dame Basilica: Montréal's oldest Catholic church is famous for its intricate interior. Its ceiling is coloured deep blue and decorated with golden stars, and the rest of the sanctuary is a polychrome of blues, azures, reds, purples, silver and gold. The church's gothic architecture is amongst the most dramatic in the world. A definite must-see is the light show at night.

Old Montréal: One of the most beautiful, well-preserved and living "old towns" outside Europe. Nestled along the St Lawrence River, wander the cobblestone streets, admire the historic 17th and 18th century architecture of this quaint former fortified city.

Mont Royal: The jewel of Montréal's city parks is Mont Royal. This 101 hectare park occupies part of the mountain that lies in the midst of Montr´al Island, and includes the highest spot in the city at over 700ft. A great place to begin your trip to this beautiful city.
