Quirpon 2 nights
Day 1 Quirpon: Make your way to the small village of Quirpon on the northern tip of Newfoundland, arriving at the dock by 4pm. Transfer by Zodiac boat through Iceberg Alley to the docks of the inn where you’ll be greeted warmly by the innkeepers.
Day 2 Quirpon: Staying in this working lighthouse is just the beginning of the adventure on Quirpon Island. Hiking trails branch out from the inn, following the coastline or delving inland over the rocky terrain. For those who prefer, a comfortable observation lounge gives a front row seat of the humpback and Minke whales that feed in the waters just off the shoreline and can often be seen breaching the waves, before crashing down back into the water. In the spring icebergs gently float by, providing one of the world’s most unique spectacles and you’ll have the chance to board a Zodiac boat for a tour of Iceberg Alley and the shoreline of the island. Admire the rugged coastlines and watch for animals that live and thrive there. For the adventurous, optional guided hikes, flightseeing, kayaking and further Zodiac tours may be booked locally (additional expense) to reveal the secrets of the land and sea.
Day 3 Quirpon: After breakfast, depart by boat from the inn back to the Quirpon Municipal docks on the mainland.
