Day 1 Beach hotel/Candidasa: Depart your chosen beach resort and head north east towards Candidasa. En route visit Besakih Temple (the largest Hindu temple in Bali); Bukit Jambal for beautiful panoramas of the rice terraces; Goa Lawah (Bat Cave) and Kusamba Village which is known for its salt farming. Afternoon arrival at the beach resort of Candidasa, which overlooks the Lombok Strait (approx 37 miles/1¾ hours drive).
Day 2 Candidasa: Morning at leisure. Visit Tenganan, one of the oldest villages in Bali for a glimpse of traditional life. Continue to Putung Hill for the view over Padang Bay and the Karangasem Water Palace (approx 35 miles/1½ hours drive).
Day 3 Candidasa/Beach hotel: Morning at leisure to laze beside the black sandy beach before returning to your chosen beach resort (approx 37 miles/1¾ hours drive).
