The facts:

Getting there: Shanghai is approximately 12 hours non-stop flight from the UK.

Best time to travel: Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons but can be visited year round. Generally, Spring (March to May) and Autumn are considered the best times to visit as the temperatures are most comfortable. Summers (June to September) bring hot, humid temperatures and rain, although usually heavy downpours rather than prolonged rain. Winter is generally cold and dry.
