Day 1 Yangon/Twante Canal: Board Orcaella in Yangon and relax as the journey to Bagan gets underway. Watch the landscape of small villages and farms which line the banks of the Twante Canal, which was constructed in 1883 during the British colonial rule.
Day 2 Zalon/Midriver: Enjoy a leisurely morning before an afternoon stop at the small port of Zalon. Take a trishaw along the main street, lined with stunning colonial style wooden houses and large tropical gardens, to the magnificent ‘Pyaytawpyan Pagoda’. Known as the ‘Returning Home Pagoda’, as the bronze Buddha statue housed within was once stolen by the British Army and later returned by order of Queen Victoria during a visit to India.
Day 3 Sailing day: Spend the day relaxing on board as you make your way towards the ancient Myanmar capital Pyay (Prome). Make the most of the on board facilities, perhaps enjoy a special pamper session, or simply lay back on the sun deck with a good book.
Day 4 Pyay (Sri Ksetra): Morning arrival in Pyay for a visit to the impressive Shwesadaw Pagoda and the imposing ten storey Sitting Buddha. Follow with a visit to the ancient city Sri Ksetra (‘Fabulous City’) with its unique cylindrical shaped stone stupas.
Day 5 Gwechaung: After a full morning sailing, enjoy an afternoon stop to explore the quaint Gawaechaung village by ox-cart for firsthand experience of the rural lifestyle along the Ayeyarwaddy River.
Day 6 Min Hia/Magwe: Morning visit to the Min Hla Fort, the site of a great battle during the second Anglo Burman war. Continue to the trade port town Magwe and it’s famous “Myathalon Pagoda” and stop at the busy local market to experience the daily hustle and bustle.
Day 7 Bagan: Set sail early morning for Bagan and enjoy lunch on board as the impressive ‘Pagoda City’ Bagan comes into sight. Spend the entire afternoon visiting the ancient sites in and around Bagan with an experienced guide.
Day 8 Bagan/Yangon: Disembark early morning for your return flight to Yangon and onward travel.
Departures: On selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. There are no departures during March, May, June, August, September or November.

Meals: Full board.
