The facts:

Getting there: There are no direct flights from the UK to Koh Samui. Bangkok is approximately 11 hours 30 minutes (non-stop flights) from the UK and the onward flight to Koh Samui is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Best time to travel: Koh Samui has a tropical monsoon climate, with generally good weather year round and temperatures averaging around 28ºC. The dry season runs from December to March and many consider this the best time to visit. The hottest time of year is between March and April, while from May until September late afternoon thunderstorms can roll in. The heaviest rainfall tends to fall between September and November, however it doesn’t rain everyday and is often only in short bursts.
