Day 1 Colombo*/Hatton: Travel by road to Hatton in Sri Lanka’s lush tea country (approx 4 hours, or pay £25 for a 20 minute Cinnamon Air taxi transfer) and the charming Ceylon Tea Trails, in the heart of the Bogawantalawa Valley by the shores of Castlereagh Lake.

Days 2-3 Hatton: At leisure to soak up the colonial splendour of your surroundings. Unwind in the beautiful gardens; spend an adventure-filled day biking or white-water rafting; or set off on foot along the scenic trails to admire the varied landscapes, exotic flora and abundant birdlife. You can also join the Resident Tea Planter who will show you first hand the age-old tea making process.

Day 4 Hatton/Colombo*: Transfer by road (or Cinnamon Air Taxi) to Colombo where your tour concludes.


Ceylon Tea Trails Bungalows - 5* Luxury
A collection of five distinctive colonial era plantation bungalows originally built between 1890 and 1939 - Norwood, Summerville, Castlereagh, Tientsin and Dunkeld - which are connected by walking trails through stunning tea gardens. Sympathetically restored to offer guests a taste of gracious living thanks to high tea, gourmet meals, exquisite butler service and authentic period furnishings. Each house comes with its own manager, chef, butler and houseboys and have 4-6 rooms in each. Unwind with a game of croquet or tennis; take a dip in the swimming pool or luxuriate in a spa treatment in the privacy and comfort of your room.

Accommodation: In luxury rooms in one of the bungalows at Ceylon Tea Trails which have a bath/shower.
