Day 1 Nuwara Eliya*/Uda Walawe: Morning drive south to Uda Wwalawe (approx 4½ hours). This afternoon enjoy a jeep safari in Uda Walawe National Park which is world famous for its whole herds of elephants, which you can see bathing or feeding, as well as water buffalo, water monitor lizards, monkeys, jackals and even the occasional leopard. It is also an exciting location for bird enthusiasts.

Day 2 Uda Walawe/Sinharaja: Visit the Elephant Transit Home, which is supported by the Born Free Foundation, before driving to Sinharaja (approx 2½ hours), Sri Lanka’s only remaining primeval rainforest. Trek along the single footpath and admire the wildlife and flora within its green canopy.

Day 3 Sinharaja: Full day of trekking through the Sinharaja Rainforest, which is home to 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of mammals, birds, insects and reptiles.

Day 4 Sinharaja/southern beach resort: Morning departure for your onward southern beach, visiting Galle Fort and Galle city enroute.
