Best time to go
The Blue Mountains can be visited at any time of year although temperatures and rainfall do vary across seasons. The average temperature during winter (June to August) is about 5º while in summer (December to February) it's around 18º. While temperatures in the mountains do not fall below freezing, it is colder in the canyons and valleys. The highest amount of rainfall is between February-March and November-December.
