Best time to go

December through to April are the driest months in Langkawi, while the heaviest rains tend to fall between September and October. However, even during the rainy season you can expect some sunshine during the day.

Travel Information

There are no direct flights from the UK to Langkawi. From Kuala Lumpur the flight to Langkawi takes about an hour. Flights are also available from Singapore.

This half day tour begins with a ride aboard the clear bubble-shaped Langkawi cable car for the 2.2km ride up the mountainside. As you travel, view the Seven Wells waterfalls and also the dense tropical forest which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Geopark. At the top, Gunung Macincang offers spectacular views and if you wish, a hike from Station One, uphill to Station Two has been carved through the forest. Travel on, passing by Black Sand Beach before a visit to the Handicraft Centre of Langkawi.
