Known as “Scotland in miniature”, the Isle of Arran lies off Scotland’s west coast. It has a varied coastline, dramatic mountain peaks, sheltered beaches and green forests. Brodick is the island’s main hub, with plenty of attractive villages dotted around the coast. Highlights include the Arran Geopark, Arran Heritage Museum, Glenashdale Falls, King’s Cave and Brodick Castle. Arran is a great place to watch wildlife and try outdoor adventures, or simply to relax with locally produced food and drink.
Granite peaks rise in the north, including Goatfell, while the south has lush, rolling pastures. You can explore on foot, by bike or by car.
