Isle of Harris Holidays

Isle of Harris holidaysin Scottish Islands

Part of the Outer Hebrides, Harris shares a landmass with the Isle of Lewis to the north but has a character all of its own. It’s known for its rich traditions and captivating scenery, from rugged mountains in the north to sweeping white-sand beaches such as Luskentyre in the west. Tarbert is the main village and ferry port, and it’s home to the Isle of Harris Distillery. Gaelic language and culture are a strong part of island life, and traditional Gaelic songs are often heard at ceilidhs and concerts. Harris is also famous for Harris Tweed, still hand-woven by islanders in their own homes. Walkers can follow part of the Hebridean Way, which spans 10 islands and 156 miles.
