Our preferred car rental company is Alamo who have a wide variety of vehicles available to suit all trips and numerous pick-up and drop-off points all over the USA.
With its vibrant cities, sprawling towns, vast plains and sunny coasts, the USA is one of the world's greatest driving destinations. There are a great many places to explore in America and while you wouldn't want a car if opting for a city stay, if you dream of an American road trip, Alamo have your car hire needs covered.
The sheer size of the USA means travelling by car is a great way to get around without missing anything on your must-see list! If looking for inspiration consider Florida, which is big on family fun with theme parks in Orlando and wonderful beaches on both the east and west coast; California, which boasts Pacific Ocean views along California's Highway 1; New England where scenic drives abound; and let's not forget that most iconic road, Route 66!

Your rental includes insurance to waive your liability for damage to or loss of the vehicle. If you are unfortunate enough to need to make a claim, you won't incur any extra charges.
Our rates provide you and authorised drivers with a combined single limit of CA$1,000,000 for third party claims that may be made by others for bodily injury, death and/or property damage arising out of the use or operation of the car. Conditions apply.
Choose to upgrade to Alamo Gold from only £12 per day (minimum 4 day rental) to also receive: one tank of fuel, 3 additional drivers.
Minimum age for main driver is 21 years. Drivers aged 21-25 years are required to pay a young driver’s fee of approx US$25 per day, payable locally. All drivers must hold a valid passport and driving licence. A credit card for security deposit is also required.

We can also offer you the opportunity to pre-book your GPS (global positioning system - Sat Nav) before you travel from £77.
Enable you to pick your car up at one airport and drop off at another. All one way rentals must be pre-booked, are subject to availability and may carry a drop off charge.
Provincial law requires the use of seat belts and child restraint seats. These carry a small charge and must be booked at time of reservation.
Working in partnership with TerraPass and US Environmental Protection Agency, Alamo have a carbon offset programme through their partner ClimateCare. Upon collecting your vehicle, you have the option to contribute $1.25 to help offset the carbon generated from your rental. Alamo will match this amount and give $2.50 to ClimateCare who support worldwide environmental projects.
