In the Straits of Malacca on Malaysia's west coast lies the privately owned island of Pangkor Laut. Occupied solely by the Pangkor Laut Resort, this truly tropical isle has pristine silver sands and clear blue waters fringed by an ancient rainforest. Of the island's 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the resort, so if you can bear to leave the comfort of your sunbed you'll find a wilderness awaiting exploration.
