Best time to go
The climate is mild and characterised by four very distinct seasons however, whatever the season, the Hunter Valley puts on a show. Summer is harvest time with warm temperatures that range from 27-30º, autumn is striking as the foliage turns an enchanting orange brown, winter temperatures drop to an average of 18º and rarely drops below 4º, and, when it's time for spring, the vines sprout new shoots and the temperatures range from 21-25º.
